Weekly Sunday Newsletter

Hi Dan,

The past four weeks of emails have been about how to teach math well. If you missed any of those posts, you can find them here:

  • The Math Wars: What's Most Important in Math Instruction?
  • The Five Components of Math Proficiency
  • How Do We Teach Math Well?

To wrap up this series, I consolidated all of my family's favorite math games and books into downloadable PDFs linked below. I've purchased a lot of math games and books over the past 10 years. Some have been great and some haven't been. In these lists, you'll find the ones we reached for again and again at each age level. (The middle school list is suggestions from my professional experience, not my family because my children aren't at that age level yet.)

  • Toddler (Ages 2 - 3)
  • Preschool (Ages 3 - 5)
  • Kindergarten (Ages 5 - 6)
  • 1st Grade (Ages 6 - 7)
  • 2nd Grade (Ages 7 - 8)
  • 3rd Grade (Ages 8 - 9)
  • 4th Grade (Ages 9 - 10)
  • 5th Grade (Ages 10 - 11)
  • Middle School (Ages 11 - 14)

Enjoy!

✌️ ❤️ 🔢,

Neily

P.S. My kids are on fall break this week, so I'm keeping the newsletter short and will also take a break from sending a newsletter next weekend. The newsletter will return on Sunday, Oct. 20.
